Overview

Australia’s sunniest and most remote capital, Perth, is the gateway to a diversity of landscapes and experiences beyond compare: city comforts and country charms, beautiful beaches, rugged outback, untouched archipelago and technicolour coral reefs, towering karri forests, rolling wine country and untamed wilderness.

Coastal walks and wilderness cruises, four-wheel drive or air tour, there are so many different ways to explore WA. Enjoy swimming with whales or wandering among the wildflowers. Snorkel with manta rays and spot migratory birds, see turtles nesting and hunt for truffles; nature’s calendar brings new pleasures with each new season in Western Australia.

Special Interest

  • Swim with gentle whale sharks, manta ray and humpbacks on Australia’s ‘other’ great reef. The stunning Ningaloo reef is backed by beautiful white sandy beaches and the Cape Range National park’s dramatic red earth.
  • Join our team of dedicated researchers for a week-long immersion in Christmas Island’s birds and wildlife with daily activities such as banding the Christmas Island goshawk and monitoring brown boobies.
  • Walking through the Stirling Range and the Fitzgerald River national parks gives our visitors unique opportunities to explore the unequalled floral diversity of Western Australia's wildflowers .

  • The Kimberley; from Broome to the Bungle Bungle

  • Tour the lunar-like limestone landscapes of the Pinnacles in Nambung National Park (and sample ocean-fresh lobsters) on a day-trip north from Perth.
  • Enjoy award-winning wines, beautiful beaches and the scenic Cape to Cape walking track in the Margaret River region south of Perth. Let us introduce you to the region’s indigenous links with a collection of coastal cultural touring from capes to caves.
  • Ride a camel to watch the sunset at Cable Beach and tour the Willie Creek Pearl Farm in Broome. Walk in the footsteps of dinosaurs and with an indigenous guide to learn the legends of the local ‘saltwater people’.
  • Follow in the path of pioneers to tour the Gibb River Road outback track or take a scenic flight over the beehive-like domes of the Bungle Bungle.
  • Take a scenic flight from Geraldton to the Abrolhos Islands or to take in the beautiful views over Pink Lake.
  • The southwest beaches are without compare and the scenic coast is the place to head to surf the waves and spot migrating whal
  • HIDDEN GEM: Cape Leveque, an indigenous coastal camp in the north west reaches of Australia, is also the gateway to breathtaking air touring over the Buccaneer Archipelago and jetboating experiences though the awe-inspiring Horizontal Falls.
  • HIDDEN GEM: The Western Australian south coast, from Albany to Esperance is full of spectacular surprises. Learn about ANZAC history and indigenous heritage, cruise with killer whales from Bremer Bay and share Lucky Bay’s squeaky sands with kangaroos.
