Itinerary

Day 1

From City Streets to Coastal Retreat – Sydney to Jervis Bay

Leave behind the buzz of Sydney and head south on one of Australia’s most breathtaking coastal routes. First up: a scenic drive through Royal National Park, the world’s second-oldest national park. Stretch your legs with a clifftop walk or take in panoramic ocean views. Next, stop at the Kiama Blowhole, where seawater shoots dramatically into the air – nature's version of a geyser show! From here, cruise down to the tranquil paradise of Jervis Bay. Tonight, settle into the beautiful Paperbark Camp, where luxury safari tents blend seamlessly with the bushland. Enjoy a delicious dinner under the stars, wrapped in the sounds of nature.

Day 2

Marine Magic & Bushland Bliss – Jervis Bay

Start your day with a wildlife cruise across the bay's turquoise waters – keep your eyes peeled for dolphins, seals, and even migrating whales (seasonal). This is a nature lover’s dream. In the afternoon, explore the stunning Booderee National Park – walk barefoot on the soft white sands of Green Patch Beach, spot kangaroos and vibrant parrots at the campground, and swim in crystal-clear waters. The entire park feels like your own personal Eden. Return to Paperbark for another magical night – perhaps unwind with a glass of wine around the campfire.

Day 3

Wildlife Encounters & Ocean Vistas – Jervis Bay to Tathra

Today’s drive is a wildlife-filled road trip! First, visit Pebbly Beach, famous for its sunbaking kangaroos. Then, detour to Potato Point – one of the rare places to spot emus strolling by the sea. Stop for lunch and a sea lion selfie at Narooma, where these playful creatures laze on the rocks. Take a dip at Bermagui Blue Pools, a stunning natural ocean pool carved into the cliffs. Finish with a wander through Mimosa Rocks National Park, packed with coastal lookouts and hidden beaches. Tonight, glamp in style at Tathra Beach Eco Camp in a luxury safari tent, just minutes from the ocean. Dine in the charming seaside town of Tathra.

Day 4

Culture & Coastlines – Tathra to Lakes Entrance

Begin your day with a peaceful yet powerful Aboriginal Cultural Kayaking Tour on the pristine Pambula River. Hear local stories, connect with Country, and paddle through untouched estuaries rich with heritage and biodiversity. Then, continue your drive through Gippsland’s coastal hinterland to the vibrant seaside town of Lakes Entrance, or peaceful Paynesville, nestled on the edge of the Gippsland Lakes. Check into Mariners Cove Motel, right on the water. Unwind with a waterfront dinner in Paynesville, soaking in the relaxed lakeside vibe.

Day 5

Island Magic & City Lights – Raymond Island to Melbourne

Before heading to the big city, take a morning ferry to Raymond Island, one of Australia’s best-kept secrets for koala spotting. Stroll the koala trail and breathe in the eucalyptus-scented air. Then, it’s time to point the car west and set your sights on vibrant Melbourne – a 4-hour drive through ever-changing scenery. You’ve crossed coastlines, met Australia’s wild locals, and discovered nature’s finest. Your Coastal Adventure has just one thing left to do: start planning your next one!
