About This Tour

Located 1500 km off the West Australia coast, in the middle of the Indian Ocean are Christmas Island and the Cocos (Keeling) Islands.

Christmas Island, known for its rich biodiversity, is famous for the annual red crab migration. The island's natural beauty includes dense rainforests, rugged coastlines, pristine beaches and an abundance of wildlife. The Cocos (Keeling) Islands are made up of two atolls and 27 coral islands. Known for their turquoise waters and white sandy beaches, these islands offer excellent opportunities for snorkeling, diving, and exploring marine life.

Experienced guides, working on research and specialising in birds, help bring guests and the unique fauna and flora of Christmas Island closer together.

Specialist guide Tim Low, AM, will lead the15th July 2025 departure. He is a biologist and best-selling author of seven books. His Where Song Began (2014) became the first nature book to win the Australian Book Industry Award for best General Non Fiction.
